Wapello County Law Enforcement Center and Wapello County Courthouse complex security key card access project.

The Wapello County Law Enforcement Center houses the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office, Ottumwa Police Department, two dispatch/PSAPs, Wapello County IT department and Wapello County Emergency Management including the county EOC.  This facility houses infrastructure critical to our county such as our EOC, computer servers and dispatch centers. The Wapello County Courthouse likewise houses critical public records and offices that are vital to services local government provides.  We have experienced several instances where potential violent actors have put the security of our facilities in question. It is our desire to address facility hardening efforts.   Modern times dictate the need for greater accountability and protection of assets that serve our public. This project will purchase and install a key card system for the Wapello County Law Enforcement Center and the Wapello County Courthouse complex.
